The name of my magazine is ‘Ecliptic’. The magazine is focused on streetwear clothing and will explore how fashion is used as a way of self-expression. The project will also consider how society influences fashion trends through articles and images.

My project is titled ‘Funny Girls: Evolving female narratives in 21st Century British stand-up comedy’. It’s an interactive, multi-media zine that explores the British comedy scene through a feminist lens and celebrates up and coming female comics.

The topic of my project will be online identity fraud. You may learn everything there is to know about identity fraud and how to spot the warning signs by perusing the articles, interviews, and advertisements that fill the awareness magazine.   I'll be looking at the how, why, and—most importantly—how, technology has evolved to enable this crime to continue.

Micaela Byrne-Carrera

Embarking on a project influenced by three years of academic exploration in Peru and England that aims to explore the intersection of cultures visually. Focusing on themes such as the reality of academic migration, reflections on adulthood, and the evolution of gender and queerness in post-structural society, this piece offers a subtle perspective. Additionally, it delves into the impact of drugs and alcohol on today’s academic youth. Through this lens, these publications pay homage to photographic essays while creating a thoughtful visual dialogue through digital storytelling.
