This panel delves into the complex and ever-evolving world of celebrity culture, exploring its intricate relationship with media and everyday people. We'll move beyond the glitz and glamour of the red carpet to examine the deeper forces shaping how we perceive, interact with, and are influenced by celebrities in the 21st century.

The title of my project is ‘In My Era’. A magazine filled with nostalgic celebrity gossip as well as current affairs and trends in social media over time. A keepsake memory that will take you on a journey to the early 2000s to the 2010s and to the present day. ‘A Tik-Tok for-you page if it was in magazine form and Tik-Tok was around in the 2000s.’

My dissertation is titled “Taylor Swift: The Music Industry.” I aim to analyse and critically evaluate Taylor Swift’s contributions to the music industry, including her musical evolution, commercial success, and advocacy for artists' rights. In addition, I plan to explore and assess the media’s gender bias and scrutiny of Taylor Swift throughout her career.

The worlds of Politics and Celebrity have always operated tangentially, but as we progress further into the digital and information age, the two worlds are becoming more and more entangled. What dangers does this pose to the carrying out of democracy fairly and honestly?
'Celebrity Killed the Politician' is a documentary showing how our new digital world has changed the way politics operate, the parallels between how a celebrity constructs their image, and how Politicians have applied these tactics to win over the hearts of everyday people. And not always with benevolent intentions.
